Come See ‘Mysteries’ – My Close-Up Magic Show in Edinburgh

If you’re looking for something a little different to do in Edinburgh - whether you're a local, a tourist, or just someone trying to impress on date night - I’d love to invite you along to Mysteries: An Evening of Close-Up Magic.

It’s my weekly show, held right inside my little magical haven, Wonder & Co. (Scotland’s only magic shop!), and it’s probably my favourite thing I get to do each week.

🎩 What is Mysteries?

Put simply, Mysteries is a small, intimate evening of magic where I perform my favourite close-up routines from the last few years of touring, festivals, cruise ships, and late-night experiments.

You’re seated just a few feet away - sometimes even just inches - as the magic happens right in front of you (and often in your hands). There’s no big stage, no smoke machines, no camera tricks—just cards, coins, and weird things I’ve taught myself to do!

🪄 Why it’s one of the most different things to do in Edinburgh

There’s a lot going on in this city, especially if you’re visiting. But if you’re after something more personal and a bit unexpected, I really think you’ll love this show.

People come to Mysteries:

  • 💑 As a unique date night

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 With family or friends who are in town

  • 🧳 As tourists wanting something less touristy

  • 🎉 Just looking for a memorable night out in Edinburgh

It’s great for ages 10+ (nothing scary or inappropriate), lasts about an hour, and you’re welcome to stick around after for a chat or a peek inside the magic shop.

🌟 What people have said

I’ve had some lovely feedback from audiences. A few of my favourites:

“Best thing we’ve done in Edinburgh.”
“Felt like we were in on a secret - clever, funny, and totally baffling.”
“Honestly no idea how he did any of it.” (My favourite kind of review.)

📍 Where and when

We host Mysteries at Wonder & Co. in Haymarket (right opposite Haymarket train station) in our secret parlour room. Shows usually run on Friday and Saturday nights, and because the audience is small and space is limited, it’s worth booking ahead.

Come for the tricks, stay for the weird surprises.
I’ll be the one with too many playing cards in his pockets.
